Born In The Wild By Tems || Album Review.

Born in the wild album, released by Tems on June 7, 2024 via the RCA records. The album is filled with 90s vibe and it is crystal clear that Tems spoke her mind and a lot that she had been through and her life as a while.
Born in the wild which has eighteen amazing songs is now nominated and has three nominations in the 2025 Grammy awards.
What would have made this album so special for it to be nominated in the 2025 Grammy awards and even sold out all seats in her Born in the wild tour.

I’d only give a proper review and what I feel about the album. Since the album has eighteen songs, I’d pick four different songs of different genres and that will give you an idea of what all other songs sound like.

Love me jeje

Love me is actually a song by a Nigerian artiste, Seyi Sodimu released in 1999. Well, Tems felt it will be nice to remake the song and make it sound more modern.
It’s a Afropop music genre. She gave it an amazing touch and it sounds perfect.
How does it sound to you?

It sounds nice to me. I’m not an expert and I don’t know how to criticize songs so I feel this is just so good. I can’t spot any mistake here.

Me & U

This song is a fusion of pop, Afrobeats and ballad. Crazy, right? I’m sure you might be wondering how she combined them all. I don’t know too but it is what it is. Let’s get to listen to the song.

Does it sound well to you too? I would have called it a perfect album but I’m sure people who criticize things better may find some mistakes.

Turn me up

What’s an album without a dancehall song? I feel it is zero. I might have even ranked the album down if there was no dancehall song there but I’m just so happy that she did justice to the album by adding this particular one.

I guess she thought about the fact that there may be some of her fans who may want to dance and she respected that.

Gangsta

If you are in search of a perfect R&B soul song, this is it. You do not need to search further. There are no long talks for the song. It’s just amazing and perfect.

What a perfect album? One thing that is very clear is the fact that the R&B soul song dominated this album. If you’re a fan of Tems, you will know what she is good at. She’s very good at R&B soul song and she gave us almost an album for that.
Also, making eighteen songs for an album is a lot of work. It’s big so kudos to she and her team for putting up this amazing work together.
She has a Grammy nomination for this album and wish her all the best.
