Sanders, Synth and Sul Tasto. Whoah, this album has it all. It was released friday and completely slipped under my radar.
It's jazz, it's electronic music, it's classical. It's composed, it's improvised. It's hypnotic, it's soothing. Mostly, it's just music - seductively slow music that creeps under your skin. Built over a simple harpsichord motif it builds and morphs beautifully into so many different colours.
Pharaoh Sanders is 80 years at this point, but plays with such an immediacy - it's crazy.
Best album you'll hear today!
