Every mistake needs to be sanctioned so that it becomes a deterrent effect so that the same mistakes do not happen again. In addition, punishment or sanctions are also a lesson for the perpetrator so that he can learn from his mistakes. That's the real purpose of sanctions.
In the last few days, we have seen several cities in Indonesia impose strict social restrictions to control the spread of the coronavirus. Residents who carry out activities outside the home are required to comply with health protocols. It is obligatory to wear a mask, keep your distance, and wash your hands with running water.
The use of masks is even very intense in all cities in Indonesia. Mask raids, involving the police and soldiers, were carried out on main roads in almost all cities in Indonesia.
Many are still not wearing masks and they have been sanctioned. But this is the problem. These sanctions are applied generally to all offenders, the form of sanctions in some cases, looks uneducative and unsuitable.
To mention some examples, there was a woman who was not wearing a mask and then she became a spectacle for the officers. I don't know what impact you want to expect from such "sanctions". Maybe the officers wanted to embarrass the woman and deter her, then they would wear a mask at a later date. If that is the goal, then the sanctions imposed will not be effective at all. Naturally, then many people protested.
Many are sanctioned by push-ups when they don't use masks and not many people protest, at least not yet viral on social media. Are the sanctions being ordered to push up educate and suitable for those who break the rules?
Depends on who and how. Maybe the sanctions were given to make the perpetrators healthier. But officers must also look at the age of the rule breaker. Once there were parents who did not wear a mask, received a push-up sanction, and that was very inappropriate for Indonesians.
Instead of being subjected to push-up sanctions that are not directly related to the mistakes committed and the changes that are expected to occur, it is better for the offender to be identified quickly and then given a mask. When it’s repeat, it will just be sanctioned with the educational – of cource.***

If the masks work, why the 6 feet?
If the 6 feet works, why the masks?
If both work, why the lockdown?
If all 3 work, why the vaccine?
If the vaccine is safe, why 'no liability clause'?

Parliamentary Advisor to the German Bundestag Warns The People
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/international-news/disease/parliamentary-advisor-to-the-german-bundestag-has-come-out-warn-the-people/
(last 2 paragraphs from statement were clipped short, here they are in full)
All in all, based on my observations in the Bundestag, I come to the conclusion that the financial sector has an amazing self-evident influence on politics and can now even position its own staff in the highest political offices without there being a public Protest against it. If Goldman Sachs managers or IMF chairmen can become president of the European Central Bank, the EU has obviously lost all proximity to the needs and interests of the population. And if BlackRock representatives in Germany are treated seriously as candidates for Chancellor, then we seem to be too little informed about the intentions and methods of the financial sector and accordingly uncritical.
But we should be, if on the one hand the number of billionaires is steadily increasing and at the same time more and more people live in bitter poverty with us. This development is not a coincidence, but the result of decades of policy in favour of the richest 0.01 percent. The corona crisis will accelerate all this further if we do not defend ourselves against it and form a broad Protest against these events.
