If you grew up with snow in the winter, you might remember how great it was when school was closed because of too much snow.
Highways were closed overnight and all busses canceled for a SNOW DAY!
For me? No snow day as the news ain’t gonna deliver itself. We help distribute a community newspaper to some of the businesses in town. 10k snow steps on tap.
Up early enough that there hasn’t been much shovelling or blowing done yet. Quiet and peaceful really.
Even Mater looks like he might still be sleeping beneath his blanket of snow.
Not actually too bad a day for driving around.
Snow on the ground but snow tires on and not in much of a hurry.
I love seeing the trees loaded up with fresh snow. Usually not like this much until January here but some serious snow belt action before winter has even begun.
Downtown, they are setting up the month-long light exhibit. When it is really winter, I will take you along to check it out.
On the steps of city hall, the Christmas tree is decorated with last nights snow.
If this was a #gardenhive post, this would be my contribution. 5 months til the growing season starts. Even the dog walked out and came right back in.
Speaking of dog, my last 4K steps were snow shovelling and taking the little dood to the park. Trees were looking spooky!
Looks like deep winter tonight when we are just getting started.

Kinda envy you for that snow.
This used to be us, when we were kids although schools were hardly even closed.
The other day I told my dad, these days you have to take your kids or grandkids high up to the mountains as even if we get some snow, it melts in a couple of hours.
Times are changing and I miss snow. I don't really have adequate clothes either as there's no need anymore.
