My Actifit Report Card: January 10 2025

in Actifityesterday

After taking a day off from running (but still getting out to Granite Basin for a nice hike with Lulu) I was back on the busy roads for a very good 8 and a half miles.
We've managed to get this far into winter with no snow (well, pretty much NO precipitation at all) but the temperature was a frosty 22 degrees at dawn.
Lulu wasn't bothered and the chilly air and it felt great in the chill after an hour under the infrared sauna blanket. An easy loop to start the day before I was ready for MY run.
My legs really didn't seem any better after not running yesterday and it took a bit to hit my groove and my pace get to a happy zone after a mile or so.
After slowing a bit with a few loops on the dirt it was off onto the rolling roads for a good loop around the neighborhood. As it's a Friday the roads were busy but the miles were strong and I'm really looking ahead to my 100 miler in a month so the quality needs to be foremost.
As usual we wrapped up our day with a couple of miles over at Lynx Lake enjoying a very quiet afternoon walk - just plenty of birds (and one squirrel for Lulu to chase) to keep us company.
