Se trata de un cono de origen volcánico de 171 metros de altura a cuya cumbre se puede acceder ascendiendo por un sendero.
Su color rojo es el resultado de la oxidación de sus materiales debido a la interacción con el agua y la brisa marina.

In the south of Tenerife is the town of El Medano, a small town of coastal tradition and with a high tourist influx. On the outskirts is the Montaña Roja, a protected natural enclave with magnificent views and a special magic.
It is a volcanic cone of 171 meters high whose summit can be reached by ascending a path.
Its red color is the result of the oxidation of its materials due to the interaction with the water and the sea breeze.
