RE: Cardio Cardio and More Cardio!

in Actifitlast year

Hi! Nice to see you! It has been ages since we last spoke. How have you been? I see you keep posting here, I had to stop after starting my engineering degree, didn't have that much free time with all the works...

Yeah, I sit the whole day for work, if I don't exercise daily I just get fatter and fatter and my joints start aching all over. I try to walk 2 miles a day at a fast pace on the treadmill to keep my daily steps, I'm trying to get between 6k-10k steps a day.

Went cycling today, did 20 miles, I'm so sore! My bike was a mountain bike and I rode on the road, the guys that were with me were using gravel bikes, so I was always trying to keep up with them. Need to get myself a gravel bike, but they are so expensive!$1.3k or more...

I've been doing very well. I know how difficult it can be to get that degree. Nice job getting through it!

If you can get into someplace with a bit of flexibility around your hours that can be really helpful. A lot of us used to love to go jogging together around lunchtime. Unfortunately, my joints can't take that kind of exercise anymore but I have plenty of time now to walk around and play disc golf.

I have four bikes still but mostly I ride my e-bike. It is tough for me to do any mountain biking any longer. Biking is really a nice exercise.

Yeah, I got through it, now I'm doing my Master's, but since I'm working I'm honestly taking it easy, doing just a few projects to get by without worrying too much, last few years have been a nightmare in terms of stress... Last year I spent 3 months almost without sleep because I had so many projects to finish to do all the classes required for me to finish my degree!

I used to run, I still do from time to time, but I'm always afraid of damaging my joints, especially since I already use and abuse them in the gym with some heavy squatting, and I've had some injuries in the past (torn meniscus in both my legs).

I prefer running to cycling, but cycling is better for the joints, so I'm starting cycling now, wanted to do mountain, but my friends prefer the road route and they already bought their expensive gravel bikes.
