My Actifit Report Card: January 25 2025

Today I decided to devote some time to myself and my health, so I went to the gym. As soon as I walked in, that familiar smell of iron and sweat reminded me why I love this place. People of different profiles and energies - some were seriously lifting heavy weights, while others were doing light cardio on the treadmills. The atmosphere was real working, motivating.

The plan for today was simple: chest and legs. I started with a warm-up – ten minutes on the bike to get my legs moving and my heart rate up. Music was blaring from the speakers, and just as my favorite song started, I knew it was time for some serious work.

The first in line was the bench press. I started with lighter weights, focusing on technique. I felt each move hit a targeted muscle group. After a few sets, I increased the weight, and the last two reps of each set really put me off. But that feeling, when you leave the bar in place after a good series - priceless!

I switched to the incline bench machine and then the splits with weights. While doing the exercise, I looked in the mirror – not for vanity, but to make sure I was doing it right. Each series brought that good feeling of being pumped up, and the breasts were literally "buzzing".

After the chest, it was time for the legs. I started from squats. It was not easy, especially since during the warm-up my legs started to say: "What are you doing to us?" But I didn't give up. Each set was harder than the last, but with each squat I could feel myself getting stronger.

After that I switched to the leg press machine. This exercise was a little easier for me because I can focus better on controlling the movement. Then it was the turn of the lunges. Lunges are my favorite – they challenge the legs and balance at the same time, but also defy endurance.

Eventually I finished stretching. I felt my muscles burning, but it was that good, winning feeling. Tiredness overcame me, but I knew I had done something good for myself.

On my way out of the gym, I stopped by the bar and grabbed a protein shake. I sat and drank it slowly, thinking how each training like this brings me closer to a better version of me. I left the gym tired but satisfied, with a smile on my face. Today was a great day!
