Cot, are you Hiking today?😻
It was one of those days, when you just want to sit and enjoy the view of the Mountains!😊
After Cot “Decided” that he was too tired to hike, I changed today’s hiking destination to Soaring Eagle!🦅
I almost forgot to start snapping photos, Silvertop was just sitting and enjoying the Sunny day!😎
A heavy white frost still covered sections of the trail late into the afternoon……….
This I suppose , is our form of snow this year Lol!😇
This land is now protected land……..
Halfway through my photos you can see a large Douglas Fir tree stump………
After the extremely slippery “Frost” for the day burns off, standing on this stump gives you breathtaking views of the Mountains to the northeast !😊
It’s a steep drop beyond this tree stump……….
Careful Silvertop!😳😅
You can see the results of logging on the lower hillside, from the previous owner, a “Clear Cut” logger!😮
This land is the latest acquisition by Keith and Lynne our neighbors, and this acreage was quickly added to their existing “Land Trust” for generations to enjoy after they are gone…….
I was expecting to run into one of them today, they are avid hikers……….
Spring days you will find Keith or Lynne out planting trees, slowly the lower Mountainside is growing back!😊
Keith told me he really didn’t want to purchase the lower Mountainside, they already owned the upper forested section….🤔
When they heard another potential buyer wanted to put in a dirt bike track, they decided to protect the beauty of the Mountainside and start replanting trees !😊
