It's because there may be a (slightly) greater risk of accidents or untoward incidents when a person is cycling alone especially in faraway places the cyclist may not be very familiar with, and it would be more difficult (and also risky) to ask for help from strangers (in case those unfortunate events occur) than from friends. 😨😅 !LUV !CTP

Yes depending on the place where one is cycling this is true... Here in Mallorca it's relatively safe. Probably mainly because we're on an island. Where are you living? !HUG !PGM

Maybe you imagine "an island" like 10km in one direction adn 15km in the other? !LOL
That "island" would be 25 kilometers in diameter! 🤓 Its circumference would be about 78.54 kilometers, such that navigating near the shores around the island would take several hours or even a day to cover! 😆😅 !LOL !CTP

I wonder who among your Hive friends in other European countries often visit where you live to enjoy cycling. 🤔 You should communicate with them to plan cycling together and/or interact with Hive using either #Actifit or #Strava. 🤓 !HUG !LUV
Most of them are not from Europe and / or are not cycling. Apart from that when people having holidays here, I'm not having holidays, and when I'm taking holidays I'm generally not staying here. !HUG !PIZZA

The fact that you said that you "don't know a lot of cyclists that like to exercise alone" suggested that you know a few cyclists who like to exercise alone. 🤓
When you are cycling together with other people, there can always be differences in preferences, such as your fellow cyclist saying "I want to visit that place" or "I want to rest" when you want the opposite. 🤯😅 !LUV !CTP
