These are my favorite pair of shoes to wear to work on days we have track meets. Track athletes love gold. It doesn't matter if it's college, high school, kids, indoor or outdoor this is my flex for track meets. The metallic gold with the animals print make for some beastie shoes. When you end up standing next to guys like Carl Lewis, Leroy Burrell, and world class athletes you don't want to be in some rooty-poot kickabouts. So I have to show up with something strong. I have even told Coach Lewis how he was an inspiration to me as a kid. Not only being a world class athletes from Houston, but at my age, in my mind he was the first athlete I ever recognized as a fashion icon. Representing Houston on a world stage the way he did with class. I know there were many other athletes who were fashion icons before. But I didn't know about them. I watched games with my grandfather and I read the sports page of the paper. But Carl Lewis was the first athlete I remember seeing on the podium doing an interview in the all denim guess outfit and the next thing I know my grandmother was taking my aunt and I to palis royal and jc penny to get some guess jeans.

Getting everything I need for the garden I'm going to be working on. When choosing soil for a new bed I always go with the soil that feeds the longest. If you pay attention the the price and size sometimes the smaller bags are a better value. And they are easier to carry.

Look for something that will feed your plants for up to nine months. I'm trying to assure that my plants will have the nutrients it needs to last a while growing cycle. I have found the more expensive soils typically only feed for up to three months. That would mean as soon as your tomatoes are ready to start producing the soil would be running out of gas when the plant needs it the most. The mid-range priced soil usually hits the sweet spot I'm looking for.

When you are adding in a lot of compost it good to mix it up with some peat moss to lighten it up. If you use too much compost just because it is super cheap it will be over compacted and super bacterially. You will have fungus growing everywhere.

I wish I could say I didn't drink soda at all. This however is my one vice when it come to the poisonous sugar syrup. I take longer routes to make sure I pass by the gas stations that have coke icees. Coke or Dr Pepper icees only. I don't want your pard-ice. I don't want your fruity freeze. It has to be ICEE and only Coke and Dr Pepper are acceptable.

If you are an artist how can you imagine the entire earth being your canvas and not stop and admire the details Mother Nature puts into her masterpiece. I took this picture at Pearland town center. We had to go drop my son Kylons phone off for repairs. He damaged the charging port by stretching the cord out and someone tripping over it while he was sleep. It was me. I broke it but he doesn't know it. Shhhhh!

Making hot sauce with peppers from the yard and enjoying a night cap. I'm a brown drinker. I prefer cognac and scotch but I saw this Crown Royal XO and it felt right.
