Every morning starts off with watering the garden around here. Besides that I went to home depot and picked up some soil, mulch, and fertilizer for a new garden I will be working on this weekend. I dropped everything off at the site so I got plenty of steps in just loading and unloading the truck. I will be doing a no dig method for the entire garden. I will be glad to share the results as it certainly should be interesting.

Most of the Nike in my shoes collection are shoes that I wanted as a kid that my grandmother would have never bought me in a million years. These baby's are no exception. I have never been a big fan of baseball. My local team has never been big on having a diverse roster and reaching out to minority communities to expand the fan base. I can only remember two black players from when I was young. Kevin Bass was on the team when I was a little kid. Gerald Young was on the team when I was a teenager. That's it. Even though I didn't watch baseball back then you had to read the sports section of a thing called "newspaper" to really know what was going on everywhere else. I was just amazed at the stat lines Griffey would put up. I didn't know much about baseball but I knew Ken Griffey Jr was the man. And you knew he was the man because his shoes were rocking. And you had some big time shoe game out there in 1996. Jordan had came back and won another title. Dion Sanders shoes were lit. Bo Jackson joints were out and strong. But the Griffeys hit different that year. That's why these are a must have for me. 96 strong!
