My Actifit Report Card: January 22 2025

Morning walk in the village, going back home - I found a couple of interesting places.

It has been almost two weeks that I didn't report here because I had been in a town, where mobile data was not available. Today, I can write here because I have arrived home. There have been some activities today.

In this morning, I walked early morning in the town, which was located in the middle of Shan state. It is a town mostly populated by Shan people but there are other ethnic peoples also. I found that there are many water sources there, some of them are said to be available all year round. It was a misty morning. I went to the downtown place to have a Shan noodle for breakfast. I intended to visit vegetable market but it was a little farer so I decided to come back. Until that time I could see mist on the way blocking the morning sunlight. It was about 2 miles walk and I was able to recorded with my Mi band. The photos below include high school, monastery and pagoda, and my delicious Shan noodle breakfast from downtown.

The town has many water resources and there are water turbines for generating power. However, some of them cannot run in summer because of fewer water. Below are some of the photos that I had taken in earlier days. They were taken at the nearby place where I stayed. I also found a shoal of fish, I think they were bred intentionally.

And I came back to my home town at about 10.30 AM. On the way back, I had a chance to stop at a couple of interesting places. The first place was where our traditional food was made. It is special because they still employs traditional way of making it - using human to pound the glutinous rice. Nowadays, people use machine to pound glutinous rice and I was happy to see it made in traditional way. The food is just a pounded glutinous rice mixed with some seeds (I don't know how to call it yet). I also took a video of it. The last photo was the pounded glutinous rice they were making and I took sample from the internet so that you can imagine what they were making.

And I arrived back home safe in the evening. Those are some of the activities for today.
