My Actifit Report Card: January 11 2025

Volunteering at the meditation center - installing a solar panel + solar controller and a battery, building a concrete container for the used oil burner

Dear Friends,

In this morning, I did house chores at home and in the afternoon, I went to the meditation center to help install a solar panel, a controller and a battery for Dhamma hall. Now, electricity black-outs are more frequent than before and we need to rely on other alternative power sources other than the grid line.

After that, I helped built a concrete container for the used-oil stove that I had built (you can see my building and testing the stove in some of my previous posts). It was contained in the concrete because the stove steel wall was quite thin. With the concrete, we could install the stands for pots and pans. There were only two voluntters including me to built it and it was quite an physical exercise for me to carry sand, water, cement bag and then, mix them and put them in the container that we had built. We also built the container using the steel sheet. It was quite a physical activity for me. It was quite an accomplishment for use and for me, I am happy to witness the stove I built to be used at the meditation center kitchen. Then, we returned home at 5.00 PM before it became dark.

Those are some of the activities for today.
