Cold air bit my cheeks like a blunt reminder that winter begins to own the streets. I moved through a damp and chilly morning at around five degrees, interval walking along the peninsula route past the water police station among other things. The walk felt shockingly refreshing, like rinsing sleep from my eyes with ice water, as I headed straight into a clear cloudless sunrise. The sky unfolded a gorgeous gradient of color, soft peach melting into pale blue and changing by the minute. I did not rush it. After the cold, I returned to warmth as always, wrapping my hands around a hot drink like a small ritual reward. I brought two stages of the sunrise along for you to admire, one with the mirror facade building on the left stealing the focus and one framed by industry charme, the big circular glass Global Production Engineering hall of the Technical University, with the River Spree flowing quietly beneath.

Die kalte Luft biss mir in die Wangen und erinnerte mich daran, dass der Winter begann die Straßen zu beherrschen. Ich bewegte mich durch einen feuchten und kühlen Morgen bei etwa fünf Grad und ging mit Intervall-Walking die Halbinselrouteroute, unter anderem vorbei an der Wasserpolizeistation. Der Spaziergang fühlte sich unglaublich erfrischend an, als würde ich mir mit Eiswasser den Schlaf aus den Augen spülen, während ich direkt auf einen klaren, wolkenlosen Sonnenaufgang zuging. Der Himmel entfaltete einen wunderschönen Farbverlauf, sanftes Pfirsich verschmolz mit zartem Blau und veränderte sich von Minute zu Minute. Ich hatte es nicht eilig. Nach der Kälte kehrte ich wie immer in die Wärme zurück und umschloss meine Hände wie eine kleine rituelle Belohnung um ein heißes Getränk. Ich habe euch zwei Phasen des Sonnenaufgangs zum bestaunen mitgebracht: eine, bei der das Gebäude mit der Spiegelfassade auf der linken Seite die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht, und eine, die vom Charme der Industrie umrahmt wird, die große runde Glashalle der Technischen Universität für Globale Produktionstechnik, unter der die Spree ruhig dahinfließt.
