A hush settled over the morning like a soft curtain, and I moved through it feeling strangely slowed. It had been another wet and wildly warm dawn after a restless night of rain, and I still felt sluggish as if my legs carried stone. December shouldn’t behave like this and I refuse to pretend it felt normal. I took only a short round through the palace gardens and picked up a few treats afterwards. Back home on the terrace I breathed deep and eased into gentle meditation, the dim and dreary light wrapping around me. There were not many motives stirring my mind this morning until the Belvedere suddenly stood there like a patient performer posing for a photograph, giving the grey morning a spark of story.
Eine Stille legte sich wie ein sanfter Vorhang über den Morgen, und ich bewegte mich seltsam verlangsamt durch sie hindurch. Es war ein weiterer nasser und ungewöhnlich warmer Morgen nach einer unruhigen Regennacht gewesen, und ich fühlte mich immer noch träge, als trügen meine Beine Steine. Der Dezember sollte sich nicht so verhalten, und ich weigere mich, so zu tun, als wäre das normal. Ich machte nur eine kurze Runde durch den Schlosspark und holte mir danach noch ein paar Leckereien. Zurück zu Hause auf der Terrasse atmete ich tief durch und versank in sanfter Meditation, umhüllt von trübem und düsterem Licht. Es gab nicht viele Motive, die meinen Geist an diesem Morgen bewegten, bis plötzlich das Belvedere wie ein geduldiger Darsteller für ein Foto posierte und dem grauen Morgen einen Funken Geschichte verlieh.
