The morning was dry, but everything still glistened, wet from the rain that fell through the night. Puddles everywhere, I took a longer walk than usual, winding my way past the castle park to the grand sluice weir, a place I hadn’t visited in weeks. The rhythmic rush and gentle splashes of water filled the air, soothing like a favorite melody. I paused there, breathing deeply, grounding myself with meditation and stillness. The photo I brought back captures a scene that felt almost enchanted: one of my favorite trees around here, the graceful weeping willow, draped over the banks of the Spree, its branches spilling like green waterfalls, catching the first golden sunbeams of the day, the only part of the view kissed by the early sunlight. It was a fleeting moment, yet it felt eternal, like a secret shared only between me and the willow.
