It was a cold morning, with temperatures barely touching 5°C, and I still felt a bit off, though much better after a long night of sleep. I wasn’t about to let the chill stop me, so I bundled up and headed out for a short morning walk to hit the bare minimum of 5,000 steps. The fresh air did wonders for clearing my head. Meanwhile, across the river, the demolition of the heating plant’s massive cube is in full swing. They‘re working on tearing down the penultimate staircase right now. Soon, only one remaines, and that too will crumble, leaving nothing but memories of the building. It is like watching time slowly erase the past, one step, one brick at a time.
