I switched to working out at home exclusively in 2020. My daughter has a medical condition, I am a remote worker anyway, and it saved money. I already had most of the equipment I needed for the type of workouts I do, so it made sense for a variety of reasons.
I was using an app called SugarWOD to program my workouts for other people like myself, who enjoyed working out at home. I charged just enough to pay the fees for the app, but more importantly, it gave me friends to leaderboard against and chat fitness with. The fees went up a bit in 2022. This, coupled with losing members who no longer wanted to workout at home, made it unprofitable for me to continue using the app.
One of the members who remained suggested Facebook Groups. As much as I do not like FB, that wound up being the best of the worst options. So now I post my daily workouts over there for my home-gym crew.
I recently was playing around with AI art in one of the Solana NFT Discords I am in, and created this new background for my gym....which is called "The Gym Bats".....why? "Cuz we're flyer than the gym rats."
Total dad humor. My friend and I came up with the name back in 2021 while we were taking pics doing a handstand push-up competition. I initially called my gym Quaranteam, but by 2021, I no longer wanted that association with my gym, so a new name was in order. Anyway, this was a bit of a ramble. Let me know what you think of the AI art banner I came up with compared to the old one!

Thanks Jagoe! I meant to return about 5-6 months ago, but it was short-lived. I made a list of things I wanted to blog about yesterday, so hoping that I get a streak going. Weight loss, homeschooling my daughter, and then always fitness and baking. I love the concept of HIVE and really want to do my part to help it succeed by being an active user.
