Another beautiful morning aliveandthriving in Ozarklife. Today after dropping the kiddo off at work @madame-cyntaia and I decided to explore some trails for a a quick hike before the heat and humidity set in. There were all sort of little lizards 🦎 scurrying about, you would see movement out of the corner of your eye then boom, gone. We did catch this one before it ran off, I do mean a photograph not with my hands.
I spotted this tiny frog 🐸 as he was jumping across the trail, even after seeing him jump, it was still difficult to find him hiding.
Also out and about was a three toed box turtle 🐢. This one was really trying to get away, fastest I’ve ever seen a turtle 🐢 run.
After our hike we came home to cool down as the heat index was creeping up and the humidity was stifling.
With a big old plate of homemade nachos to finish off the day, could it get any better?

Oh man, the humidity! Soon fall will start to cool us down a bit. As excited as I am for that, though, I'm not excited for the winter that will follow!
