This workout was made famous by Mike Mentzer, and according to him this is the best bicep workout in the world because it doesn't focus on only the lower part of the biceps close to the elbow but also the upper end close to the shoulders.
This is the first time I'm trying it out, it's cool, if you ask me, and I think it is better than a regular bicep curl except that I think it's always better to work with free weights that depends entirely on your arm strength rather than machines. I think that's better because it gives you more strength/power than working with weights attached to something.
But when it comes to building the bicep I'll go with Mentzer on this one.
This is one of the least done workouts at the gym, most people use this machine for building their backs and not biceps. Here is s video of me putting in that work:
