My Actifit Report Card: September 24 2023 : I Am Alive Challenge

Hello Everyone 😊

I sang oh happy day😅 because it's the day I enjoy singing it most.

Yes..... Welcome to my actifit report for Sunday 24th September, 2023.
The last Sunday in the month of September, keep moving days.
We can't turn back time 😄

My day started well with the headache from yesterday gone, I am so glad that rest did the magic and internet connection was back.

I did some house chores and continue resting while engaging on hive.

I didn't go for the main services, we had four awesome services in church.

Well I went for the fifth service by 5pm, it was also a special service.

I got to church on time to meet praise time, it was awesome.
Glad I didn't miss this, because laziness to walk to church almost came in when it was after 4pm.

The program Timeout with Jesus is always held once a month in church.

After praise and worship, we prayed and listened to online testimonies, then the teachings.

Message : Secrets of lasting relationships

The preacher started with telling us that we are created by God to relate with him.

And everything in life has its root in relationship (Psalm 11:3)
The foundation of a relationship is love (1 John 5vs8, mark 12:30)

Relationship that has its root on looks will fail (Looks fades).
If Money and Sex is the root of the relationship it will fail.

The secret to lasting relationship is love.

Then we went further to hear the different kinds of relationships

A. God and man (Matthew 22:28,36-38)
The origin of relationship is one between God and man.
(Matthew 24:13)
Relationship with God must involve honour and reverence for God.
Dishonour is the first sign of rebellion.
Dishonour is a decision to disrespect and despair God.

B. Mentor and protegee
A mentor is an experienced advisor.

( Judges 14:3)
Whom you love, you obey.
Mentorship is the quickest way to success.

How to enjoy a lasting relationship with your mentor

1. Listen and follow his/her counsel.
   2 kings 2:5-7,12,15

2. Honour and respect your mentor.
   Honour is the seed for access (Malachi 1:6)

Your success will be traced to the mentor you chose to respect.
Honour starts from the heart and ends in the pocket.
You easily submit to who you respect.

C. Family relationship

Two kinds of family relationship

i. Husband and wife.

Marriage is God's idea, for it to last there must be love.
( Ephesians 5:22-25)
You must place great value on marriage for it to last forever.

Being married to someone you love is like a never ending honeymoon - David Ibiyeomie

In marriage :

Don't take permanent decision based on a temporary challenge.

Pay attention to the opinions, observations and discoveries of your partner to understand them better( Ephesians 6:8)

Silence often waters the root of bitterness(Matthew 8:15)

One major challenge affecting marriages is, not departing from parental ties (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6)

ii. Parents and children ( Ephesians 6:1-4, Colossians 3:20)

We choose our friends but God decides our parents.
Family lasts when there is love, care and understanding.

D. Friends

Friends should be earned. (thessalonians 5:12-13, proverbs 27;17)

Every relationship has a unspoken word of jealousy, rivalry, bitterness and hatred.

Four kinds of people in life are ;

Those who add value, substrate, divide and multiply.

Withdraw from angry people.
Depart from contentious people (proverbs 22:24)

For any relationship to last, Forgiveness, integrity, kindness,courage with the guidance of the holy spirit should play a key role( proverbs 14:7)

We ended the service with prayers and thanksgiving.
Then we celebrated those born in September.

I came back to round up with the day's activities, before calling it a day.
