In answer to the Actifit question, “what did you do today?” the answer is that I worked a full day, made dinner for my “boys” (husband son), then ate, cleaned up, s d worked out in front of the TV. In other words, I never left my house! We are experiencing arctic conditions here in Minnesota right now.
All that said, it’s too boring to write about my uneventful workout, so instead I’m going to write about the ice festival my husband and I attended with some friends last weekend.
It was a lot of fun. There were a lot of food trucks and tents with drinks and music. But the main attraction was a big ice maze with ice sculptures set up for photo ops.
Here’s a view from above:
And here’s a picture of hubby and I posing on a frozen Viking.
Minnesota is home to the Vikings football team of course. (Let’s not talk about today’s crushing defeat that booted us out of the playoffs!) And in fact the ice festival took place in a big arena in the Vikings training complex.
Here’s my friend and I posing!
A few more, which are unfortunately sideways! I’ll rotate and replace them next time I’m at my computer.
My husband really looks like the abominable snowman!
Thanks for checking out my blog!

Ice sculptures🥹🔥
I saw an Instagram post about these, although they were anime themed.
These are still impressive 🥹✨
There were several characters carved in ice too. I'm not up to speed on current pop culture in animation, so I couldn't tell you the name of this one!
This is sonic...
Pretty cool but not what I saw 😂😂
Yes, Sonic! Thank you for reminding me.
Family reunion always favours the best.
Looks like you are in the center of the Arctic my friend!🥶
Beautiful winter Wonderland, haven’t seen that kind of snow since we lived in Colorado in the high country !🙄
It just barely reaches freezing this time of year here at night …..
real winter!Well I guess you and @elizabethbit should come visit so you can experience some
Now where did I put my Sorrels???😇😀
Those sculptures are so interesting!
I come from an evergreen tropical country so ice-sculpture is a rare sight for me. In my lifetime I think I only saw such exhibition with man-made environment twice when I was a kid
Yes, it must look very strange if you're not used to it! I like all the seasons, so I enjoy living here. But whenever I take a tropical vacation, I ask myself why I insist on living in this cold, cold place! Thank you for stopping by, @littlenewthings.
