My steps all came from just moving around today. The first part of the day was spent at a holiday fair. A friend and I have a number of these event lined up over the holidays. She sells hand-made paper crafts and I sell my book. It’s really a lot of fun.
This particular event was at a VFW hall, which hosted the holiday fair as well as “Breakfast with Santa.”
I had to laugh after I saw this picture which my friend took of me posing with Santa. I look like I’m either as fat as Santa or I’m sticking out my stomach to emulate him. I promise I was not doing that. I have no idea how the picture came out that way. (I’m only 130 pounds!) Maybe I was leaning back or something!
Here’s a picture of my book display. It was a good day. I sold several books and had some great conversations with people who stopped by.
After the event, I went home to work in the yard. We are experiencing a thaw, after our first severe cold of the season, which meant I was able to do one more yard and patio cleanup project before the snow and cold settle in until next spring.
I have about 7 giant oak trees in my backyard and they drop their leaves for months. I never get them all collected before winter!
My dog, Zoey, loves to help with leaf clean-up!
