Today was quite the busy, active day. I started the day by co-hosting a craft booth with a friend of mine. To be clear, she is a craft making genius, and I’m not. Ha ha. I’m a book author, and that was my reason for being a part of this event.
To my surprise, I sold all 15 of my books that I brought to the event. I had signed and gift-wrapped most of them, and that was a big hit.
Needless to say, I gained quite a few steps from schlepping items into the venue and setting up the display. But about 3/4 of the way through the event, I had nothing left to sell and my friend said she didn’t mind handling the booth on her own, so I packed up and left the event.
From there, I went to a nearby nature area with a wonderful trail system, and took a hike on the trail around the lake.
It was really quite a pretty area. I had never been there before. I was amazed to see that there were still some trees showing autumn color! It is very late in the season now.
The path was clearly under construction for repairs. I could see many fresh wood blocks in between the weathered ones.
It really was a beautiful walk. The views of the lake were incredible.
And on a humorous note, I was watching some ducks at the lake’s edge, and it’s really cute how the stick their bottoms in the air when they are feeding from the bottom of the lake.
After that, my day continued on with an evening get together with friends. Not that it was the source of a lot of steps, but it certainly capped off the day nicely!
