On 26 August, I was in Shenzhen City because this day marked the 45th anniversary of Shenzhen's designation as China's first Special Economic Zone. Since then, the city has become a business and high-technology city.
As you might know, before 1979, Shenzhen was an unknown village with around 300 thousand people living around it, and now it's the third city with the largest population after Beijing and Shanghai's
The first time I came to this city was in 2012, and they had a few metro lines. Now, their metro system has many lines and is really complex. You can go anywhere by metro in this city, which is convenient for tourists and local citizens.
To celebrate this city's anniversary, the government organises drone and light shows in designated locations around the city. Unfortunately, I didn't know about the drone display earlier because people need to book online, and I saw on the news that all the available spots were booked within minutes. Also, you need to have a local mobile number for the booking.
Many streets around the place were closed due to the crowds and thousands of police and security, including volunteers, securing the area and guiding people because many metro station exits were locked.
One of the location for the drone and light show is Talent Park it was closed since 3:00 pm and is quite challenging to see any drone show there because it is a close area that's why I tried to come to the Citizen Square because there are some places surrounded where you could see even a little bit as you appreciate in the pictures, also the volunteer people help you to let you know where you could watch even you didn't booked online.
In conclusion, I really enjoyed the Drone and Light Show, and it was also a nice walk at night with the fresh weather.
