This statue of Horace Greeley, a great champion of education, sits near Herald Square in Manhattan. Unfortunately, it is nowhere near my Bushwick apartment and school. If I had made the commute to NYC after school, then I would have smashed the 10K mark today.
Alas, my lack of any meaningful activity after I got home from work was the reason for my finish under 10K. It is always a bit of a bummer when I don't take those extra few flights or that stroll to the fruit stand that could have been the difference in making my mark. Back at it tomorrow!
