Crown Me -- Actifit Report Card: January 12 + 13, 2025

Whoopsies... I missed a day. Monday had me so wiped out, I crashed before I got around to writing my actifit post last night. Well, you didn't miss much. My Sunday was pretty basic. Woke up, watched soccer, watched football, cleaned the apartment, and made dinner.

On Monday, I earned my greatest stepcount of the new year, breaking past 18K. Besides the nearly 10K steps I got at school, I also had a trip to the dentist scheduled an hour after school let out. I made a quick pitstop at home to drop off some things before taking the bus over to Williamsburg to meet with my new dentist.

The cleaning went well, but my dental update wasn't too hot. The dentist recommended two crowns for a couple of my molars that are looking a little beat up from 40 years of wear and tear. I wasn't prepared for that much work to be necessary, but those pictures don't lie. It ain't looking good.

On the other hand, these two slices from one of NYC's hottest pizzerias (L'industrie) looked and tasted amazing! Not pictured is the capicola a la vodka Sicilian slice that I also put away in a second round of madness. I even brought home a pistachio tres leches cake to share with my partner. A small consolation for her missing a stop at her favorite pizza place.

Look at those stacked step counts. It feels good to maintain that level of activity at school and after school, too. Unfortunately, I am still way out of rhythm with those after-school calisthenics workouts, but there's always tomorrow. Until next time...
