Sunday in Brooklyn was all about starting the new week on the front foot, especially because I have a short 3-day work week before heading out to Columbus for Dubstep Disneyland.
I listened to some Splinterlands podcasts while cleaning up before the 2 English Premier League games to round out the week. My Everton striker was wasteful with a few opportunities and my winger on Brighton wasn't clinical enough to stick home noa rebound in his match. I needed one more goal or a measly clean sheet, but instead I lost to my archnemesis Nigel, the commissioner of the best EPL fantasy league on earth!
I cheered myself up with some egg toast before folding laundry and making the morning coffee for my partner. I did some lesson planning while she started her day. We decided to leave the apartment at 6pm for a familiar pit stop at Takahachi before the Summer Closeout party from All Day I Dream at The Brooklyn Mirage.
The cover image is a picture I snapped from the mezzanine at the Mirage just after sunset. Lee Burridge, the founder of ADID, remarkably transforms the concrete space into a welcoming tropical setting. I started the Mirage season with ADID back in May, and now like a rite of passage, it also signals summer's end is almost here.
Just another viral marketing campaign on the city streets of Bushwick while walking out to the club. I'd prefer to focus on street art. Hopefully, some of the loyal street art community members will see the tag and check out all the cool art I document while getting my step in around the neighborhood!
Mickey Mouse X MFDoom goes hard! So does the eye...
The watching wye sees all... in full surround sight!
If all else fails, just keep swimming!
We got home after a few hours of dancing, and I finally sorted out the issues with fitbit. I updated the software and like magic, my step count was restored and my 10K step streak is still intact back to Aug 16. 1 month in the books and my step count is about to go absolutely bonkers at Lost Lands this wknd. Until next time...
