My Actifit Report Card: January 3 2025

Happy Friday Actifiters!

It's been rainy all week, including this morning. And, looking at the forecast the whole weekend is supposed to be rainy too. I can tell this is a season that's going to be harder for me to get outside and be active. So I'll have to do what I did today and keep an eye on the weather and look for opportunities when it's a little more favorable. The sun decided to come out right around my usual lunch break, so I took advantage of it and went for a walk.

It was wonderful to be out in the sunshine. The sun felt so good, almost like a warm blanket. I was grateful for the opportunity to be active and take a little break. I always find my productivity increases when I take a little break and walk.

Aligning with my goals of being more fit this year. I am brainstorming ideas that could help me get activity at least four or five days a week. Walking outside is a great option for me when the weather is good. When the weather is not good, I think there is an area I can use my lunch break to walk inside. I also have a dumbbell weight set at home that I've really been wanting to use. To make time for physical activity, I think I'm going to have to figure out a schedule that works. I would love to get up earlier in the morning, but most days I find it challenging to get up early enough to get my normal morning routine done. Maybe if I can get myself on a more regular early bedtime routine that would help.
So, in my disciplines I will be looking to be physically active for at least 20 to 30 minutes a day for 4 to 5 days a week. Today was a success on that front with a walk a little more than 1.5 miles!
