Nope, this is not black & white photography, but with so much white around it's easy to confuse the darker colors with dark grey nuances. Winter/snow is so close, but yet so far away, only up in the mountains.

Isn't it interesting how winter can look black and white? That kind of always gets me, but then it also kind of makes sense; it's sleeping; almost dead waiting for the awakening of spring!
