Day started out a bit cool - mybwife says there was rain on her drive back from her coffee visit to Berry. Had my head down catching up on investing stuff. Waiting for weather to improve
Got on the bike to do a longer loop ride with the hope of finding orchids on the roadside. Farmer has set up a Santa on hay bales at the foot of Coolangatta Mountain. Mountain Ridge winery behind

Road below the winery goes to Berry - keep heading straight. I am heading right. Funnily enough have not ridden that straight road since we moved down here. Done it a lot in previous weekend tours
Those tours did do this right turn a few times - nice quiet road with one hill. Ride it a lot now
Interesting flower on the roadside - maybe a passion fruit
That got me a chance to photograph this flower - not sure what it is
Did find an orchid - last of the rose hyacinth orchids flowering at the biodiversity site. Counted 8 plants all seeded
Got a feeling this is an invader right next to the biodiversity site - will have to look it up
This flower looks a bit similar to the pinkish one I photographed earlier - not pink. No idea what it is but there quite a few
Found the next orchid close to the junction of Beach Road and Gerroa Road but a bit further from the intersection than I have seen before
Side on. Plants were small with flowers way smaller than normal. Slender hyacinth orchid - dipodium variegatum is the ID
Longest ride in a while. Was pleased that body did not go into overdrive on the parts that I pushed harder than normal. Maybe something is changing in there. Good to get two roadside orchids - the spotting eyes still work
Walked up to Bowling Club for a drink and hoping to get the Sunday raffle. Club has some natty decorations - a Christmassy bowtie under the club sign. There was not the normal raffle process. We had one drink and went home
Dinner: Butter chicken to use up a cooked chicken from Christmas Eve. A simple cook.
