Sublime Sunday : The Provincial Life

in Actifit6 hours ago

Day Started Early.

Hello, Actifitters! It's been a while since my last activity report. Today, I finally crossed 7k steps on my app counter. And finally, some time to actually sit down and write. Awesome.

Sunday started early. I had a meeting with my boss in the wee hours (started at 5.00am) and my mom, bless her, woke me up at 4.17am! Woohoo. My alarm was set at 4.30am but what is 13 minutes in advance when I had been awake literally at an hourly interval since 11pm the night before, right?

Laundry loaded.

Mom woke me up to load the laundry since our water service always gets disrupted later in the morning. Dad doesn't want me to use the stored water in the tank, so I needed to do the laundry very early. 4.30am. Not too late, eh?!

My laundry was already hanging at 6.00am. What a feat. 🥳🎉🎊

Yard Work.

I proceeded to sweep the yard. Our front yard shouldn't have fallen leaves yet we do (thanks to our neighbors' lush trees. 🥴

Looming Rainclouds

By afternoon, after driving my sister to the bus stop, dark rainclouds started to cover the skies. Whew, it was timely that my laundry was already dry- it was a sunny morning).

Mild Volcanic Activity.

Intermittent rains during the afternoon gave a bit of respite from the unexplainable heat. Or perhaps the hot morning to mid-day was due to the phreatic explosion of the nearby Taal Volcano? Must be. Taal Volcano has been regularly releasing steam these days.
🌋

Choco, Sit!

I've been trying to teach this old dog a verrryyy old trick - SIT- and we're struggling.

Poor dude doesn't even seem to know his name. Lol.

But he sure does know how to catch my attention and make me play with him.

Choco needs more grooming. I'll get to that when I'm not too busy.

Where's the comet?

Again, we failed to view the A3 comet tonight. It was very cloudy at the western skies and nothing could be seen.

Little Man and I kept checking, but no thanks to the intermittenr rain since the afternoon, it was to no avail.

Rain kept on until the night.

That's it from me today. Until the next!

❤️, Arlyn

Are you in any danger from the volcano? I hope not!

Nice job with your 7219 @actifit steps for the day. Take care!

We are within the 20 km radius from the volcano. The last time it exploded in 2020, we were affected by ashfalls, but not worse than that. Our town was the first to take evacuees. Since then there are always minor steam driven explosions.

The countryside is the best, I love the laidback lifestyle.

Yes! So simple.
