My Actifit Report Card: November 18 2023 First run in two months

Today I went for a light run for the first time in a while. As I mentioned a little in another post, I have entered a half-marathon event to be held at the beginning of the year with the aim of reducing my lack of exercise, and I would like to start building up my body a little more. The last activity record on my GARMIN Instinct smartwatch, which I use, was on September 23, so I have not exercised for less than two months. I have always had a hard time running long distances, and if I don't run for a while, I quickly lose the ability to run. There are people who can finish a half marathon without any trouble even though they don't usually run, but it is absolutely impossible for me.

Since it has been a long time since I have been running, I do careful preparation exercises and start running slowly. Since I am not in perfect physical condition, I do not push myself too hard, and my goal is to refresh my mind rather than to build my body, so I walk and run, taking care not to damage my body.

Today, strong winds blew all day long, and along the coast, the crosswind was so strong that my body was swept away. I looked at the wind speed later and saw that the wind was blowing at 10 to 12 m/s. It was the kind of wind that should not be used for running. There were quite a few people enjoying windsurfing in the ocean. The waves were quite high, so it was a bit scary to watch, but I guess it's just right for those who are good at it.

It was a moderate run, 7 km in 1 hour, but I am glad I did it. When I got home and took a shower, the lightheadedness I had been feeling for a while had improved. I feel like I have refreshed my mind quite a bit. In the afternoon, I went out for a walk with my son, but the wind was so strong that even he decided to go home and take a shorter walk than usual. I feel like I'm off to a good start for the half marathon. I will continue to do Actifit while taking care of my health!

今日は久々に軽いランニングをしてきました。別の投稿でも少し書きましたが、運動不足解消を目的に年明けに開催されるハーフマラソン大会にエントリーしたため、これから少しづつ体作りを始めていきたいと思います。私が愛用するGARMINのスマートウォッチ「Instinct」の前回アクティビティーの記録が9月23日なので2ヶ月弱もの間、運動をしていなかったことになります。もともと長距離走が苦手な私は少し走らないとすぐに走れなくなってしまします。普段走らないのにハーフマラソンくらいならさらっと完走できてしまう方いますけど、私には絶対無理です。

久々ということもあり念入りに準備体操をして、ゆっくり走り出します。体調が完全でないため無理はせず、体づくりより心のリフレッシュが目的のため、歩いたり走ったり、体がダメージを負わないように気をつけながら走ります。

今日は1日中強い風が吹いていて、海沿いは横風で体が流されるほどでした。あとで風速を見ると10〜12m/sの風が吹いていたとのことです。本来あまりランニングをするべきではないくらいの風でしたね。海ではウインドサーフィンを楽しむ方が結構いました。波もかなり高かったので見ていてもちょと怖いなと感じるくらいでしたが、上手い方にはちょうどいいんですかね。

1時間で7kmと控えめのランニングでしたが、走ってよかったです。家に帰ってシャワーを浴びるとこれまでしばらく感じていた頭のだるさが改善していました。かなり心もリフレッシュできた気がします。午後は子供との散歩で外に出ますが、さすがの息子も風の強さに「いえ帰るか」といつもより短い散歩になりました。ハーフマラソンに向けていいスタートがきれた気がします。健康管理しながらこれからもActifit続けていきます!
