The crisp morning air carried the scent of hay and earth as we stepped onto the farm, immediately surrounded by a symphony of animal sounds. The children’s eyes were wide with wonder; this was a world away from our usual routines. We spent hours marveling at the sheer scale of the draft horses, gently feeding pellets to the friendly goats, and giggling as the fuzzy chicks darted around their pen. The highlight was a bumpy, joyful hayride that circled the fields, offering breathtaking views of the autumn colours and letting the kids point out everything they saw. It was a day of hands-on learning and simple pleasures, leaving us with muddy boots, full hearts, and a newfound appreciation for where our food truly comes from.
