Hello to all dear friends at #Hive!.... As some of you may already know "Exposed Gaze" is my format for sharing photographs under a more "free and personal" concept. So when I use this concept for a series of photographs, anything can really happen with them.

¡Hola a todos queridos amigos en #Hive!... Tal como quizás ya algunos de ustedes sepan "Mirada Expuesta" es mi formato para compartir fotografías bajo un concepto digamos más "libre y personal". Entonces cuando uso este concepto para una serie de fotografías, en realidad puede suceder cualquier cosa con ellas.

Today I was at home all afternoon, so I decided to spend some of my time looking for unpublished photographs in my recent archives and in doing so selected several photographs with the intention of creating a series which would allow me to capture in a contrasting way the rural and street aspects of my village.

Hoy estuve en casa toda la tarde, así que decidí invertir parte de mi tiempo buscando fotografías inéditas en mis archivos recientes y haciendo esto seleccione varias fotografías con la intención de crear una serie la cual me permitiese plasmar de una manera contrastante los aspectos rurales y callejeros de mi pueblo.

For some unknown reason, the idea suddenly exploded in my head: Do this in 16:9 format and black and white!... And believe me, I had to retrace my steps, as I had already finished editing five pictures in colour and with my usual 6x4 format (which I use most of the time both vertically and horizontally).

Por alguna razón la cual desconozco, en mi cabeza repentinamente explotó la idea de: ¡Haz esto en formato 16:9 y en blanco y negro!... Y créanme, tuve que volver sobre mis pasos, pues ya había terminado de editar cinco fotografías en color y con mi acostumbrado formato 6x4 (el cual acostumbro a usar la mayoría de las veces tanto vertical como horizontal).

I take editing very seriously and always start from RAW formats to process my photos. Like any good "purist" (maybe it would be better to use the term "maniac") I don't like to convert already edited (JPG) colour photos to black and white by simply desaturating the image. No, I'm crazy and therefore I need to start again with the RAW image file and that's how I did it... But it was worth it, as I'm delighted with the results!

Me tomo muy en serio la edición y siempre parto de formatos RAW para hacer mis fotos. Como todo buen "purista" (quizás sería mejor usar el termino "maniático")no me gusta convertir las fotos ya editadas (JPG) en color hacia el blanco y negro simplemente desaturando la imagen. No, yo estoy loco y por ende necesito volver a comenzar con el archivo de la imagen en RAW y así fue como lo hice... ¡Pero ha valido la pena, pues estoy encantado con los resultados!.

This is a small town, so I am struck by the palpable diversity of character between photographs taken at relatively short distances from each other. It seems to me that between the two most distant photographs, there may be less than 3 kilometres between them. This provides an idea of how close and intermingled the street and rural scenes are here in my village.

Este es un pueblo pequeño, así que me asombra la palpable diversidad de carácter que hay entre fotografías tomadas a distancias relativamente cortas entre sí. Me parece que entre las dos fotografías más lejanas, pueden haber menos de 3 kilómetros de distancia. Esto provee una idea de cuan cercanos y entremezclados están los escenarios callejeros y los rurales aquí en mi pueblo.
