Ahh, that cake got me goosebumps! I have around 2 months since I gave up on sugar and sweets in general so it's really tempting to order a cake right away with my b-day around the corner!
Sorry about that. You are a saint for giving up sugar like that. I think even if I had a medical reason for needing to do it, it would still be really hard for me.
Honestly, I thought it was going to be harder, but it's not. The first 2-3 days maximum are hard. The same applies if you have a cheat day and eat some sugar. But once these pass, everything is a lot easier.
That's good to hear! I gave up soda a long time ago and now I can barely even drink one without getting sick to my stomach. It's just so caustic. Now, mix it with some rum and I am okay though!
That's interesting! I am quite the opposite. If I need some sweets then I'd definitely go for soda rather than a dessert, lol! But I start feeling some discomfort in my stomach as well. Funny how the body shows lots of signs when you are doing something wrong if you give it a break from everything!
I used to have a serious sweet tooth. Five years ago, that cake would have looked incredible to me, but now it just seems too sweet. I definitely still indulge in a good beer now and then, or a milk tea (even though it’s way too sugary... Oh well)
I've learned to cut back quite a bit myself. I remember a time when I probably would have had two pieces of this cake in one sitting. It's unbelievable I didn't give myself diabetes. I'm honestly glad that I have learned a bit of self control and I have changed my eating habits. I still indulge for sure, but not like I used to.

I need to get me some more silver! I’m having a challenge scooping up bitcoin instead of doing multiple different things haha. I just don’t see myself selling the silver so that’s tough, where it’s easy to sell the bitcoin to take a little profit!
BTC is probably a good play right now. Wait for it to go up and then move those gains into something stable like silver. I'm pretty good and weaving a story with my themes. Most weeks anyway!

I started many years ago with 1/10 ounce. But once the premiums on them got stupid, I switched to quarter ounce. Much better premiums and adds up much quicker. I still don’t have much gold but 90% of it is quarter ounces.

I think my sister in law and my niece made it, but I can't honestly remember. It was three of our birthday's and there were about eight people there, so there wasn't too much left by the time we were done.
That cake! Reminds me of my husband's diet, years ago before he was my husband. Breakfast for him was chocolate chip cookies and a coke. He might follow that up with a bin of popcorn for lunch. Amazingly, he's been lean all the years I've known him, and he doesn't have diabetes:)
He can't eat like that anymore. Just doesn't feel well if he does. However, he still eats the cookies and the cokes, but starts the day with a little more balance.
Ugh, I hate people like that :) I eat all the right things and I can't lose a pound to save my life! Some people are just blessed with great metabolism I guess!
