Hi all Hivers and welcome back to my blog. I have been here, 9 days in Rhodes, a Greek island in the Dodecanese, and the post in question is about the Prassonissi peninsula in the extreme south of the island.

The island is famous for the ancient colossus, a gigantic statue that dominated the harbour entrance over 2300 years ago. But this place, which I have seen and walked for over 3 hours, is one of the most impressive in my life, Prassonissi.

A balance of the forces of nature, a trail of sand between two seas, the Levant Sea and the Aegean. A balance of colours, like the golden yellow of the sand and the cobalt blue and turquoise of the sea, in perfect harmony between heaven and earth.

Rarely have I felt so at peace with myself. I have experienced the happiness and wellbeing blown by the sirocco wind, the joy of seeing everything from above as if I were the principal spectator of a natural spectacle.

I came across a grave, very old, I did a search but I did not know who was buried there. I encountered the famous balanced stones, of course, the symbol of meditation and the search for inner balance.

I did that too!

A very quick tricuspid on a flat rock, I hope if I return in a few years to find them, a balance dreamt of and longed for forever.

Finally, they too, the goats, wild animals that live on the lighthouse that has been abandoned for 100 years, the goats, strong animals with iconic symbols for the Greeks, a goat suckled Dionysus.

The goats symbolised adaptation and balance between the impassable difficulties of movement and the danger of the man who hunts them, I did not, I just admired them.

Equilibri

Ciao a tutti Hivers e bentornati sul mio blog. Sono stato qui, 9 giorni a Rodi, un'isola greca del dodecanneso, ed il post in questione riguarda la penisola di Prassonissi all'estremo sud dell'isola. L'isola è famosa per l'antico colosso, una statua gigantesca che dominava l'entrata del porto oltre 2300 anni fa. Ma questo posto che ho visto e percorso a piedi per oltre 3 ore è uno dei più suggestivi della mia vita.

Un equilibrio di forze della natura, una scia di sabbia che si inoltra tra due mari, il mar di Levante e l'Egeo. Equilibri di colori, come il giallo oro della sabbia e il blu cobalto e turchese del mare, in perfetta armonia tra cielo e terra. Rare volte mi sono sentito così in pace con me stesso. ho provato la felicità ed il benessere sospinti dal vento di scirocco, la gioia di vedere tutto dall'alto come se io fossi lo spettatore principe di uno spettacolo naturale.

Ho incontrato una tomba, molto vecchia, ho fatto una ricerca ma non ho saputo chi ci fosse seppellito. Ho incontrato le famose pietre in equilibrio, ma certo, il simbolo della meditazione e della ricerca di un equilibrio interiore.

L'ho fatto anch'io!

Una tricuspide molto rapida su un masso piatto, spero che se dovessi ritornare tra qualche anno di trovarle, un equilibrio sognato e desiderato per sempre. Infine anche loro, le capre, animali selvatici che vivono sul faro abbandonato da 100 anni, le capre, forti animali dai simboli iconici per i greci, una capra allattò Dioniso. Le capre simbolo di adattamento ed equilibrio tra le impervie difficoltà di movimento e la pericolosità dell'uomo che le caccia, io no, le ho soltanto ammirate.
