Hi! I'm very happy that you took time to read this post, and especially to share your thoughts about it.
It's a powerful feeling, isn't it? I've been reflecting on this for a while, and I'm surprised with how easy and fast I got adapted and how I felt happier after moving out.
I guess it will also take time to manage that sensation of not belonging. Sometimes I've been to places and I've wondered "what the hell am I doing here?" It feels good to think that, in a way, we belong to many places—that we carry a little piece of each one within us.
I'm truly glad to hear you're also returning to creating with your hands. How has that experience been for you?
Adjusting periods are not easy, that's a strength for you to be able to adapt quick. :D
You also learn valuable lessons each time. :D
I realized I've been more focused and happy with being able to do physical stuff. Although I still like being on the computer from time to time, but the gadgets are so distracting that I never really been able to think. Doing anything offline allows me to have inner thoughts hahah.
When it comes to art, it's really so much more different and easier for me with physical art. One of the struggles in digital art that I just noticed is that I spend too much time picking or figuring out what brushes to use in Photoshop. 😭 With physical painting, I can use 2 brushes and have different looks depending on how I use it hahah. It's so straighforward.
Right? Haha. I think that with digital art I am more perfectionist, in a way that I see mistakes everywhere. With physical painting, or ink drawing, that's part of the art. I enjoy it more.
