I keep thinking that it sucks how unless you somehow build an empire for yourself and your family that every generation from now on is going to never even have the chance to experience your level of upbringing.

Well I am going to be a bit upset if I can't at least afford for my children to get a leg up so that they don't start from -1 like me. It's just such a grind and struggle for those of us without good support systems.

I don't have that level of ego. All I want is for future generations to be free. I don't care if anyone looks like me or has my name. I just want people to have the most potential for excellence.

But that's what I'm saying. Unless you get monumentally rich the current world is never going to be the world you grew up in if only due to inflation.

True. I don't think about wealth and value as much as I think about opportunity. I'd rather it not take a small fortune to start a business. I'd like to remove red tape and licensing, and use sound currency for transactions.
I guess I see everyone as starting the same.

Eh I had friends inherit a business or enough to start their own business whereas I've made everything on my own. Some people get that bump because parents don't think "you gotta make it on your own, kid". I view it as my responsibility to my children.
