Honestly, I had only heard about Hive's initial liquidity probably a couple of months ago when payouts weren't happening because of Binance. It was eventually resolved, but through that I learned that Binance is actually responsible for the vast bulk of the ecosystem's liquidity.

I personally think that if it does go down, it will overall be beneficial for crypto in the long run but it if there's no liquidity it seems unlikely the ecosystem will grow or survive for long. I think Hive needs many, many more avenues to come in and out of the system.
