I think there's a thing called Mis-aimed Fandom, though if you're making something, it's and got a fandom 'mis-aim', it's also a terrible idea to blame the fans.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I think that could be part of it. Genuine misunderstandings happen and some people just don't like satire because they're too close to material emotionally for those
kinds of interpretations.
It could result in massive problems for all parties involved.
I'm mostly a pacifist, I just avoid what I don't like but most people aren't like that.
