Dbuzz has got a bad rep, certainly in my opinion being full of abuse and nil quality content.
😂Maybe it's just me but I am not so much of a mobile person. So, I find two options in one page is amazing. I don't have to go through a lot of hoops just to use one microblogs. It's pretty seamless. I really tried but personally, it's not for me. Though I wonder what's the appeal for mobile users.
This is a really good point, Mac. There is huge difference between Devs, and users whose work involves being sat at a PC and mobile users. I'd suggest this skews the emphasis placed on developing DApps which is a shame as I'd also suggest, the majority of users are mobile users and their experience of using HIve is not going to be as seamless as it is for PC users. I also think Dbuzz and Liketu are missing a trick by not having dedicated Android and Apple apps but I suppose its all about development cost and maintenance compared to future potential revenues.
I haven't posted a snap but I think the nice thing about it is it physically separates the long-form posts from the rest. I care a lot about the aesthetic of my feed (long-form) and having a division between the long-form and short-form contents is a plus! This is just based on my experience tho. 😁
Good morning :-)
I absolutely get that and agree, but I'm just lazy to flick between two different feeds. If I'm going to zombie scroll, then one feed is preferable to me.
I think the answer is more customising options to enable people to set up their feed exactly how they want it.
Thanks so much for dropping by and I hope life is treating you kindly :-)
Understandable! It takes time indeed switching from one to another.
Maybe in the future, something like this might be developed. Hive is always evolving. Exciting, isn't it?
You too @nathen007. Enjoy the rest of your day! 😁
At my age, excitement makes way for impatience lol
You too, keep being amazing :-)
I have to admit though, #snaps is impressive. Especially the combined feed but I do wonder how many people actually read them or is it a waste of time if they don't appear on the main feed?

STOP
They're probably trying to create more usable features. Seeing that peakd is popular, I think they just want to make it have its own short form content feature
Exactly. I think the same, cheers! 💕

DBuzz support seems to have gone downhill. It stopped working for me for 2 weeks & devs did not respond to my feedback. By chance today I found it was working again

Hi. Someone else recently mentioned that but I'd been as guilty as anyone else for not using it so didn't know. It must be difficult keeping up with projects that no one appears to want sadly but I think the amount of engagement shown on this post, for example, shows there is a need for genuinely engaging short post formats that don't get hidden away on separate feeds.
Thanks for dropping by and best wishes :-)
You're welcome.
i'm experimenting with making Waves (Ecency Waves microblogs) from the Snaps UI. Here's one in case you miss it:
https://peakd.com/waves/@ecency.waves/waves-2024-10-17#@atma.love/re-ecencywaves-slkfqr
Can also make Moments (LikeTu) from Snaps (and maybe InLeo Threads too)
