We've been transitioning away from home cooking for 2 generations now. Greed and profiteering are still driving prices up.

From your posts, and I might be wrong, it's seems as you lean into communism.

One of the more successful forms of communism is the Kibutz in Israel. There, all the members were eating in one big mess room. In some Kibutzs it's still exist.
