Hi @theswansenreport,

Question everything, love it! I do the same. :)

As @chrisrice pointed out, I just post long winded content, he and @nathansenn are the brains of the operation and, supporters of freedom of speech like you would not believe.

A good question to ask you, is, do you know and understand the way a Block Chain functions?

A block chain is censorship resistant (*Well, again, technically up to a point, you would have to have a controlling share of that block chain to issue a hard fork, but then other nodes could run the old code and not support the new code. Case in point the Steem / HIVE split). Understanding this is key to understanding censorship.

D.Buzz is a gate way, a door, a window to write to and view content on the Block Chain. The same way Steem monsters is, peaked, hive.blog and others. We do not have a controlling share of HIVE and can not alter the block chain code.

important When you use D.Buzz, you are using D.Buzz as a gateway to post ONTO the block chain.

D.Buzz does not have a database, we do not store your keys (*They are kept as a secure cookie on YOUR computer). When you launch D.Buzz, it starts to pull information from the HIVE Block Chain, and not our own.

Lets look at twitter. Twitter has a massive database. When you use twitter you post to THEIR database. So if they did not like what you are saying, they can remove your login, delete your information from their data base, or even (*as in the case of the big twitter hack a few months ago) post AS YOU. That is messed up.

D.Buzz on the other hand, unless you yourself get hacked or give out your private keys to someone, we (D.Buzz) have no way to take your content down from the HIVE blockchian. If d.buzz does not like what you are saying as its spam, yes, we could hide that on the front end with a spam list (*see @chrisrice response). Even in the most extreme case, lets say you are a spam all-star and all front ends diced to hide your content, it would still be on the block chain and you can still view it with a costume solution.

In the most extreme case, a hard fork on the block chain code would have to be issued and accepted by all the witnesses, or you would have to have a controlling share of HIVE to reset someones keys or remove their content from the Block Chain... but this is technicality do able.. but it would have a LARGE cost and likely be the end of that block chain.

Disclaimer : Please don't take my words out of context, for clarification on any points or for more conversation I recommend you talk to Chris and Nathan. But I do appreciate you asking questions! :D

Hi @jacuzzi - thanks for your response. If it appears I took your words out of context, it was certainly not my intent. I do appreciate your and Chris's explanation and response to my question.

Its no problem, living and communication is a crazy thing when you get deep into it... I am so happy to see tho you however have a very enlighten demeanor. :) I am going to start and follow your posts. !

Yeah @jacuzzi, it's good that we both replied to ensure it doesn't get taken out of context ☺️✔️
