What I found most surprising was that even Frontier wasn't as much of a savings as it typically is. I once did an $88 nonstop one way flight on Frontier. Now that was a huge savings compared to the $300 Southwest flight. Both nonstop. But that was on a trip to Florida. You'd think because we smack dab in the middle of the country the pricing would be similar. Nope! So opted to Southwest both ways.

I don't think I'd ever fly Frontier. I had a friend who would have missed his father's 80th birthday party because they cancelled his flight (the day before, no less). The earliest replacement flight was two days later! The day after the party. He got in his car and drove all day to get their on time.

His isn't the only story of a friend who had a problem with Frontier. So, I don't ever plan to use them.

I've only flown Frontier once. It was a one way from Orlando back to San Antonio for $88 non stop. It was the first flight out so no trouble at all. I'm sure if I had a later flight in the day my experience would probably been more challenging.
