There was a lot of positivity around in the 90s envisaged by the D Ream song, we thought things were going to get so much better because of tech improvements etc and the stats show that for most of the world, living standards have gone up.

We werent so much into saving the environment back then too, now saving energy seems to be only a European thing as in the middle east and china they have more of an energy abundance mindset. I wonder who will end up right on this one.

Coming from the land of compromise and having survived the OZON(e) hole and acid rain I think the truth is somewhat in the middle. The western fear talks are too much the Eastern expansion too much as well.

But looking back over time things always got better although sometimes they got worse before getting better.

Thanks for the pick and lets see in another 30 years when I write "Trying To Remember the Scary 20s" !PIZZA
