Too much of everything is bad. Knowing too much hurt too.
I got talking with a friend and she said she wish she could be emotionless. Haha
From our conversation, I deduced she's the one who cares too much, tends too much and honestly the world only drain people who are givers! It's not a bad thing to give of ourselves, our time, resources and knowledge but I think there should be a limit or rather boundaries to it.
Knowing where to draw the line helps us a lot. It saves us from burnout, saves us from feeling unnecessary burden or weight on our shoulder, saves our time, our emotions and so much more.
This singer shares the same sentiment but hers can be linked to reaction after breakup. She wished she could go numb, feel less for her ex partner so he actually gets out of her head.
The truth is, we can't try to fake it, if it's in our nature to care, and love intensely.
Love is a power feeling and a beautiful one at that. But, it is so sad that people that other people's vulnerability as an advantage to do them dirty.
Detachment often make us feel numb especially toward the person you've had a strong romantic or emotional bond with, so you can forge ahead.
I liken the clock as one object without emotion. They keep ticking not caring if you're using it wisely or not. It performs the same routine forever, never complains or get bored. It doesn't care if you're ageing.. It keeps a straight face and keeps ticking haha.
But it's not normal to be emotionless as it makes us less empathetic and makes us cold and too defensive.
The world needs more of our love. We only pray we find someone worth loving and caring for. It's an investment to love someone because it takes commitment, patient, time and availability to love one person over and over again for as long as it last. Invest wisely!
