Apart from a mother's love, another love I find unconditional is the love from siblings. They stick with you down to the end.

My sister gets on my nerves many times, but once she is not around, I begin to miss her so much. I recall when she just got hitched, I felt like a loner. I sat all alone in my room wishing she was home with me.

Our chit-chats, our silly fights, how we stood in for each other to avoid the wrath of our parents, how we shared most of our possessions, the hugs and everything in between.

Aside from the discipline I received from my parents, my siblings had a role to play in my personality. They ensured they inculcated positive value in my life through their fine conduct.

My siblings made themselves so approachable that I could pour out my heart to them without being scared. They are my secret keepers, my best friends and confidant.

Today I felt the need to give a shout-out to my sister and other great sisters out there in the world. I noticed that most times we get so fond of them yet we often forget to tell them how amazing they've been and how much we adore them.

I recall how she would defend me in public and scold me in private, she never belittled me or made me less important when I shared my opinion or thought, that helped me to have a healthy dose of self-esteem.

Flipping through my phone gallery made me nostalgic, then I realized how much I've missed her.

We live at two ends of the world now, and if we must see each other we would have to travel for about 8hours to get to each other, despite the distance I feel so attached to her and we never go a day without face timing each other.
