Music is life and music mean a lot of things to different people, some listen to music for fun, others as a source of inspiration, whilst others as a source of income.
While I way younger, I had considered venturing into music as a source of income even though it was a hobby as well. I used to have an imaginary guitar that I play with my hands while singing and one person who made me love music so much was Asa.
Asa is a talented artist and has a very unique style of singing, I love her effective use of the Yoruba language to make good music, more to that, I admire her ability to play the guitar so effortlessly.
It's funny how I could be washing clothes and the next thing is some nice lyrics popping in my head, I would just abandon my clothes and rush off to get a jotter, so that I could write it down.
Over the weekends,I would accompany my cousin brothers to the studio, cause they too were lovers of music and had started recording their own song as way of building their portfolio.
As I grew older, I began to focus more on enjoying good music other than making money out of it, I listened to great artist whose songs resonate so much with me and then I sing or create my own song just for the fun of it.
If I had ventured into music, I would have focused on the Rnb genre, that's actually my best genre of music, I like them slow, Melodiious and deep.
Other ways I know poeple make money out of music is through live band and karaoke sessions, while others learn how to play instrumentals ,I admire people who make music so enjoyable, either through singing other people's cover or of their own songs, still others make good music through writing of songs for people, or managing artist and the list goes on.
This song is just a perfect example of how I felt when I was younger and I couldn't help but share as I listened to it earlier today.

While the song played, I began to feel nostalgic, it brought back priceless childhood memories but deep down I knew I didn't want to be famous, I never really love being on everyone's faces, I knew that being a celebrity comes with a lot and I wasn't cut out for it. The paparazzi, and all wasn't my kind of lifestyle but I knew I wanted to have enough money to pay my bills and live a comfortable life and thankfully I am not depending on anyone for my upkeep and daily needs and my peace of mind is still. Intact.
I would recommend this song to any kid who have big dreams and vision, that if they truly desire to be it, they can achieve it.
It is true that our vision in life changes, well for some, their first passion only gets intensified while others change their career path completely but whatever the case maybe, they create a path careeer wise they have come to love and nothing beats doing what you love as a profession. it doesn't make it seem like you're working, it just feels like you're being paid for your hobby.
